Marking Field Control
The is where ProLase surpasses all other marking solutions.

With the ability to offer direct galvo control, ProLase features fine tuning and control of the mark that is superior to any other software on the market.

ProLase has a variety of features that can be used to control the configuration of the marking field area and motion control hardware. These features allow ProLase to be customized for the specific optical and galvanometric situation. Our graphic engine provides high speed, and flexible motion control that can be user optimized for maximum performance.

Marking Field Control Parameters

Square or Circular fields are supported.

Circular fields provide more marking area than square fields using the same lens.

 English and metric units

Construct your mark in inches, meters, centimeters, mils, millimeters, or any other unit that you choose.

ProLase supports resolutions down to 0.0001 cm, and field sizes up to a 32x32 meter square.

Variable field orientation

No need to align your laser marker directly above the field... Have the software make the adjustments for you.

Field alignment features supported include:

Swap X / Y orientation
Negate X  (flip image horizontally)
Negate Y  (flip image vertically)

Offset field (vertical / horizontal translation)
Rotate field (angular offset / translation)

Pincushion and barrel distortion correction in software

Precise hardware motion control

Galvo lag compensation delays

Eliminate hot spots or light marks due to galvo lag by applying delays either to the system as a whole or to individual objects.

Slew rate limited, high speed positioning achieves performance while minimizing "ringing" (settling period) of the galvos.

High speed, quality marks

Output rates of up to 100,000 coordinate pairs per second.

Writing throughput of 350+ characters per sec. (0.1" high, simplex font).

True arc generation (Circular interpolation).

Motion step size resolution at 1 LSB.

Wobble Control with variable width, density and shape

Sine wave
Square wave
Saw tooth wave
